Is a client going to pay for a service they don't value? Even if
they do, are they going to be happy about it?
Ed Kless is the Senior Director at Sage Accountants Solutions and
host of the Soul of Enterprise podcast. Ed has fantastic takes on
pricing and billing for professional services, and we had him on
the show this week to discuss the concept of value pricing.
Put simply, value pricing is a method of setting your price not
based on a multiple of your cost, but based on the client's
perceived value of the work. What are they really willing to pay
for it?
Attorneys can stop setting prices and just hoping a client will go
for it. If we base our prices on the perceived value, we're much
more likely to land those potential clients, and that they'll be
happy to pay us.
